PianoHire
We have spent many years tuning pianos that have been hired into venues and on most occasions we have been frustrated and disappointed in the standard of instruments being hired out which makes it an unpleasant and frustrating experience for us as technicians, the musicians (they quite often can’t perform to the standard they would like) and the audience (they don’t get the standard that they are paying for and deserve to hear). As a result of this we have invested in setting up our very own hire fleet and am pleased to say it is now up and running.
We have pianos that are available for private hire for any occasion whether it be for a one off concert, wedding, festival, summer school or music society we can supply, deliver and maintain the instrument so you get the full package. All our pianos are maintained by us and checked over regularly to make sure they are in 1st class condition every time. Not only do they look the part, they are a pleasure for the musicians to play and as a result sound amazing to the listening audience.
Our pianos have already made a great start this year at the Buxton International Festival where world class professional musicians have enjoyed our instruments. We have had the pleasure of taking the trailer and pop up shop to Car Fest and supplied a Jazz summer school. Hopefully this is a great start to what will be an exciting new branch to Pickerings Piano House.

Perfect for small spaces. Practice rooms, choirs, accompaniment, orchestra pits etc.
Price = £350+VAT
This price includes delivery within a 30 mile radius of our showroom (unusual delivery’s may incur more charges and extra mileage charges will be added). This is a one day hire and piano arrives tuned and checked upon delivery. Extra tunings will be billed separately and must be tuned by Pickerings. If hire is for a longer period then we will be happy to arrange a package price.
Yamaha Grand
length = 5’3”
Perfect for small performance spaces with a lively acoustic. Piano recitals, ensembles, choirs, works well in bands if miked up.
Price = £450+VAT
This price includes delivery within a 30 mile radius of our showroom (unusual deliveries may incur more charges and extra mileage charges will be added). This is a one day hire and piano arrives tuned and checked upon delivery. Extra tunings will be billed separately and must be tuned by Pickerings. This piano is our largest in the fleet offering more depth of tone and a larger dynamic range. Perfect for piano recitals, small orchestras, ensembles, bands etc.

This price includes delivery within a 30 mile radius of our showroom (unusual deliveries may incur more charges and extra mileage charges will be added). This is a one day hire and piano arrives tuned and checked upon delivery. Extra tunings will be billed separately and must be tuned by Pickerings. If hire is for a longer period then we will be happy to arrange a package price.
Trailer Hire
A Piano in a trailer for everyone to enjoy. Whether it be to have a pianist playing outside of simply just for everyone to busk and have fun. This is perfect for festivals or any outside events to create a lovely atmosphere!
Price = £650+VAT
This price covers a 30 mile radius from our showroom. (Extra mileage will be added). Piano arrives tuned and we stay with the trailer for the duration of the day.
